After nearly four decades of gathering in an auditorium, members of PHBC entered the new sanctuary at Kavanaugh and Cedar, where our church building remains to this day. Our location and facility have been immense assets, enabling us to “seek the welfare of the neighborhood” as the prophet Jeremiah would say.

Pulaski Heights Baptist Church is a dynamic faith community located in the eclectic Hillcrest neighborhood. We are committed to nurturing the faith of our members and seeking the welfare of our neighbors, attending to the needs of their souls as well as the needs arising from their material conditions.

We know that the word “Baptist” is sometimes associated with flag-waving, judgmental and moralistic Christianity, and we lament the fact that religious opportunists have soiled the reputation of our movement. But it’s time to reclaim the true meaning of Baptist faith and identity.
