Because Sunday was Pentecost and our order of worship was quite full, not much mention was made of our recent Vacation Bible School. This Sunday, however, it is our intention to do a bit of a retrospective, in order to give you a flavor of what the school was like. June 26, 2011 our very own Men of Faith will present their first full concert in Hicks Hall. There will be a dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. for $5.00. Leann Broadway will be selling tickets starting this week. The one-hour concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is free to the public. The concert will feature gospel music. Members of the Men of Faith are Lowell Bentley – Tenor, Ted Snider – Second Tenor, Jim Munns – Baritone, George Clark – Bass.

Vacation Bible School is June 5-9, Sunday through Thursday, from 5:15 to 8 PM each evening. Many parents tell us we have the BEST Vacation Bible School in our area, and we are proud of that! Our leaders and teachers have been at work several months already preparing for VBS this year. Our theme is Sonsurf Beach Bash, and we know it will be a super time. As most of you are aware, PHBC was in on the ground floorwith Interfaith Hospitality Network. I know pride goeth before afall, but I’ll use the p-word anyway.
