As the teenagers of our church grow older, we try to provide a supportive environment to help them mature in their faith.
It is important to us that our youth learn the importance of missions and sharing God’s message with others. They are a very active part of our church, performing in the annual talent show, working at our children’s carnivals and events, and lending a hand when we host families through the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Our youth also periodically help lead our Children’s Church, which allows them the opportunity to learn more about God by teaching others.
The youth of PHBC work not only within our church, but act as a presence outside the church as well. They have participated in many missional activities in the community like feeding the hungry, leading worship at the Little Rock Compassion Center, and traveling to Helena to work at the local community center. Every summer, the youth group travels out of state for their annual mission trip. In order to fund this trip, they work in periodic fund raisers throughout the year.
Our youth group also has various recreational activities. Each fall they have a camp-out at Petit Jean State Park and each summer they float the Spring River.
The youth meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for Bible study. On Sunday nights they meet in our Recreation Room for games and fellowship. We invite you to join us!
