Pulaski Heights Baptist Church is actively involved in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, which reflects more accurately the majority view of our congregation, as well as the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Arkansas.
Historically, PHBC has been affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, and by extension the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and Pulaski Baptist Association. But events of the last three decades, along with our core beliefs, have shifted our emphasis and vision beyond the SBC. Along with the CBF and CBF of Arkansas, we also support the Baptist Center for Ethics, the Baptist Joint Committee on Religious Liberty, and the Baptist World Alliance.
An exciting new movement among Baptists is The New Baptist Covenant, which has as its goal “to have a major demonstration of harmony and a common commitment to personify and to accomplish the goals that Jesus Christ expressed in his sermon to his hometown folk of Nazareth.”
One thing, however, has not changed. We are a people on mission committed to the Great Commission of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our world. To that end, we are willing to partner with any group, locally and globally, that shares our values and seeks to “discover and fulfill their God-given mission.”
